About the school - DES 2024
DES is one of the largest IT schools in Ukraine, which annually brings together the best industry professionals, experts, mentors and lecturers from leading IT companies to share their knowledge and experience with hundreds of students from all over Ukraine.
The goal of the DES 2024 winter school
- Increase the interest of young people in the industry's newest technical specialities.
- To create a platform for studying theoretical foundations and practical skills between students and the IT industry.
Experience
DES has become a traditional annual school that consistently attracts hundreds of students from all over Ukraine who want to conquer the IT field.
Project competition
The DES School traditionally holds a competition for team projects of school participants. Projects are accepted that contain a well-founded idea, such as a computer application, which should bring economic and/or social benefits to society/user. The team must develop a detailed plan for the implementation and delivery of this idea. A separate project will be allocated to a project that will have (possible, partial) technical implementation or implementation by the time the school is completed. The projects will be defended on Friday (2 February). We will announce the prize-giving ceremony for the winners of the project competition later.
This year's DES-2024 has once again won incredible popularity among young people: about 900 participants expressed a desire to study there. The event was also attended by leading IT companies: the official partner was NeuroForge; partners - companies MindCraft.ai, SQUAD, ELEKS, SoftServe, N-iX; participants – Intellias, E-Docs, Uitware, Sigma Software University, Profisea, OTAKOYI, EPAM, GlobalLogic, Avenga; information partners– Lviv It Cluster, Marketer and DOU. We also express our gratitude for the support of key institutions such as Lviv City Council, Lviv Regional Military Administration, and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. City, regional, and state support for such projects is evidence that Ukraine is committed to deepening and promoting the development of the IT sector, and has high hopes for young people in rebuilding all areas after our Victory!
